My idle thoughts on tech startups

Changes… my transition & new plans

I wanted to let folks know that I have transitioned from my role as a Principal at Point Judith Capital in order to work on a new project.

I joined Point Judith just over five years ago. When I moved to the Boston area from Silicon Valley, I thought both about staying on the entrepreneurial path and getting into the VC world. I was excited about the prospect of helping build a venture firm, and joined PJC during the later phase of investing our first fund and then raising and investing the current fund. Over these five years I’ve had the privilege of meeting many outstanding entrepreneurs, learned a great deal about the venture business, and had a wonderful experience working side-by-side the entire PJC team.

I’m pleased to remain part of PJC as a Venture Partner, a part-time role in which I’ll continue my board involvement with a small number of portfolio companies. And I’m very appreciative of PJC’s support for my new plans.

So the logical question is – now what? Well, for one I’m being a bit more active as an angel investor. But most of my time and attention is devoted to a new project which I (and my co-founders) am deeply excited about. At this formative phase I prefer not to publicly discuss it further, but over the coming months I hope to start sharing more info.

Watch this space…
